Epistemic Geometries (2025) is a dual channel video unearthing how structures of knowledge, history and enlightenment are organised and materialised. The figure of the Buddha goes through a geometric dissection via a depth scanner, prompting the question- are the symbols of enlightenment, or nirvana, capable of escaping these cyclical structures themselves? What animates the geometries of knowledge?
The work takes off from the sculpture of Gandhara Buddha placed in the National museum in New Delhi, a site for historical and political transformation in the last decade.
The work has been screened at South Asian Playground, Mool, New Delhi, IN as part of a Global South Collaboration initiative between collectives from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and India. The collaboration produced shows, discussions, and other activations gender politics, decolonial politics and counter-capitalism, land politics, anti-caste movement, ,indigenous identities, education, story-telling, and more.
