The walkthrough-workshop happened at Purana Quila in May 2024, under the program City as Museum by Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA), New Delhi, India. "Drawing as Interface: Tracing Fissures and Lingerings" investigates the old fort as a site where history, archaeology and mythology intersect, through which ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) and the state claims that the old fort is built on the mythical fort Khandavaprastha, mentioned in the Mahabharata. Through excavations, on-site archaeological museums, and texts carved in stone markers, a re-narrativising of history takes place, generating alternate realities within public memory. In a space where drawing is not allowed, participants using drawing mark-making through psychogeographical exercises became a mode to produce documents and counter-narratives.
